The 3 possible ways to see the free disk space are not suitable at all.

I am using a simple 1,6 GHz dual core Atom netbook and it takes about
3-4 seconds to open the properties window, until free disk space is
displayed. And then it starts with heavy disk access to calculate the
total amount of files (if I don't close the window, for tens of
seconds). Not suitable, not bearable.

Either the status bar is brought back or I'll switch to Nemo. Either
this was the last horribly stupid decision of the Ubuntu development
team or I'll switch to any other distro.
