You are correct. This was discovered trom several Ubuntu forum threads where users are trying to speed up their startup by modifying the 'Nodisplay=true' to 'false'. However, I was using this report to highlight the issues for ALL the autostart services, which is to say all of them should have a proper heading and description, e.g. orca, gwibber, onboard, etc, which a large number of users prefer not to use. So it is mainly for the sake of streamlining and easing the life of Ubuntu users once they get past their first experimenting with Ubuntu. I provide support for replacing Windows with Ubuntu, where users tend to point at boot times with Windows.
I can provide you with the english and french comments for the missing autostart comments :-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1190253 Title: Nautilus no Description in Startup Services (gnome-session-properties) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1190253/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
