ACK - same here: iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.2, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS FYI: iTunes in a VMWare WIndows 7 on the same machine works fine (after disconnect from host and connect to VM). So it is not a hardware issue and can be fixed in software.
