Please note: I reinstalled gnome-panel and it installed gnome-control- center and gnome-settings-daemon as dependencies.
Tested "unity-control-center keyboard" and "unity-control-center appearance" in Unity and GNOME FlashBack (Metacity and Compiz) sessions - they work.
