This package fixes this bug, but will introduce new one, but I think that will be easy to fix.
This is how I tested it: 1) Installed trusty in virtual box. 2) Installed gnome-panel and indicator-applet-appmenu. 3) Logged in gnome flashback session with metacity. 4) Added indicator-appelet-appmenu. Menu bar applet disappeared. 5) Enabled -proposed and upgraded gnome-panel. 6) Logged out and logged in. Menu bar does not disappear. New bug: Launching application from Applications menu will inherit UBUNTU_MENUPROXY environment varibale - menu won't be removed from application and added to indicator applet. I have idea how to fix it, so I probably will provide fix for it today. I will set tag to verification-done as this fix main (reported) problem and new bug won't make system unusable. ** Tags removed: verification-needed ** Tags added: verification-done -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1310929 Title: Panel menu-bar applet crashes after adding indicator-applet-appmenu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/1310929/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
