I'm running xubuntu 14.04. Tried adding the deb to sources - fails as not found in apt-get update (used "Trusty").
Tried adding the udev rule - gphoto opens, shows my pictures (it's *REALLY* slow), but then I can't save them, etc., so I removed the rule. Tried downloading the package, "untar"ing it, then went to the INSTALL document to see if I needed to run configure or just make and make install. It shows the command for running configure, and when I do that I get the following failure. . . . didn't copy all of the output prior to this failure . checking ltdl.h usability... no checking ltdl.h presence... no checking for ltdl.h... no checking that we can compile and link with libltdl... no configure: error: cannot compile and link against libltdl libgphoto2 requires libltdl (the libtool dl* library), but cannot compile and link against it.
