I've noticed that someone has updated the bug description such that it says Nautilus isn't effected by the bug when it is being run as root, or sudo. I'd just like to point out the reason; the version with root privileges does NOT use the gtk header bar, this further supports the idea that it is in fact that that is causing the problem.
