Okay, further debugging reveals that if you put the phone to sleep with a scope that requires location visible, the location updates are not disabled.
Looks like this is a regression. The location service listens to when scopes are marked as active/inactive, and they all used to be marked inactive when the phone went to sleep. This is obviously no-longer the case. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to location-service in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1422879 Title: GPS stays active after location data is used by a scope (even after not not using the scopes anymore) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1422879/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
