Public bug reported: [SUMMARY]
I've configured power management so that when the laptop is connected to a power source and the lid is closed it SHOULDN'T suspend, yet it does. This is a very old and very annoying bug present in earlier versions. [IMPACT] Imagine you are working in an environment where you are regularly down-/uploading bigger files. You would need to leave the computer running over night for this purpose but cannot with the lid closed. [REPRODUCTION] Open Gnome Tweak Tool > Power settings > set to do nothing after lid is closed when connected to AC > close lid > watch it suspend while it shouldn't ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.04 Package: gnome-power-manager 3.14.1-1ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.19.0-28.30-generic 3.19.8-ckt5 Uname: Linux 3.19.0-28-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.17.2-0ubuntu1.5 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: GNOME Date: Sat Sep 26 03:06:12 2015 InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-09-19 (6 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-GNOME 15.04 "Vivid Vervet" - Release amd64 (20150422) SourcePackage: gnome-power-manager UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug vivid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1499929 Title: Laptop turns off while it shouldn't To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/1499929/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
