I have attempted to replicate the fault but Document Viewer now seems to be performing normally.
I thought that the hold-up might have been due to attempting to render a colour picture to print at best quality but this seems now to be done instantly. There have been a few software upgrades (Ubuntu Base) since first reporting the bug and these may have solved the hang-up.
