Public bug reported: I went to the download page for Chrome, and chose to open with "Software Installer (default)" to install it directly. Even if the installation worked, when completed Software told me that it couldn't find google- chrome-stable (see attachment).
However, after having relaunched Software, Google Chrome was showed as it should. Another thing which doesn't work as expected: The "Launch" button in Software does not launch Google Chrome - nothing happens. These issues are possibly related to bug #1551707. ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "could_not_find_google-chrome-stable.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1563322/+attachment/4615936/+files/could_not_find_google-chrome-stable.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1563322 Title: Two glitches when installing Google Chrome To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1563322/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
