  I have just noticed that on Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 with GNOME 3.20 that the
  gnome-terminal when transparency mode is on is transparent where the
  "File Edit" etc options are, but when the gnome-terminal window is not
- selected it does not have the faulty behaviour:
