I had to undo the workarounds in order for it to stop asking for
passwords at login:

In /etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-keyring-ssh.desktop

I originally replaced:

Exec=/usr/bin/gnome-keyring-daemon --start --components=ssh

with

#Exec=/usr/bin/gnome-keyring-daemon --daemonize --components=ssh

Some people put a new gnome-keyring startup file in ~/.config/autostart/
Remove that.

Then a complete reboot.
