Just F.Y.I. I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, and I still occasionally get this problem on a cold boot.
It's different than presented here though, because I do not see the complaint in the .xsession-errors file, but only in the popup that informs me the widget has failed. Fortunately, the 'pkill gnome-panel' and restarting it in the background appears to work, and the widget starts as expected. I'd still prefer to see this fixed though, even if it is intermittent, it's a pain. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/716714 Title: WARNING **: Failed to load applet WnckletFactory::WindowListApplet: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: No such interface `org.gnome.panel.applet.AppletFactory' on object at path /org/gnome/panel/applet/WnckletFactory To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-panel/+bug/716714/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
