This used to work before recent a update of several distro packages. Currently settings are not applied and everything falls back to "Join displays" instead of "Single Display".
--- After debugging that a little bit more I can see that the bug is not triggered if I do not change scaling from 100% to 200% at the same time. The primary laptop display goes offline and I only have a secondary running. If I try to go from "Scaling: 100%" to 200%, I immediately get the problematic behavior. ➜ ~ echo $XDG_SESSION_DESKTOP ubuntu-xorg This is what goes to syslog right after I press a button to change scaling to 200%. http://paste.ubuntu.com/25694579/ ** Summary changed: - gnome shell crashes after display config is changed to only show on a secondary monitor + gnome shell crashes after scaling is changed from 100% to 200% (segfault at 8 ip 00007f22c7bdf877 sp 00007ffde76cadf0 error 4 in libmutter-1.so.0.0.0[7f22c7b36000+141000]) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1722000 Title: gnome shell crashes after scaling is changed from 100% to 200% (segfault at 8 ip 00007f22c7bdf877 sp 00007ffde76cadf0 error 4 in libmutter-1.so.0.0.0[7f22c7b36000+141000]) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1722000/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
