Public bug reported: It seems ctrl+z undo tries to undo the last file operation rather than the last text edit in the file name dialog. nautilus devs have fixed this behaviour previously, so it's probably an Ubuntu patch that's causing the problem.
Here's the patch that was committed to fix it previously: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/commit/bf6b1e2c2f0cd3d882f99029af79a3439bdacec1 Here's a video showing that the behaviour regression in 17.10 (ctrl+z is used to undo a text edit): https://www.dropbox.com/s/pvywye6alea76j4/nautilus_undo_history_bug.movie.mp4?dl=1 ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1729264 Title: Regression of file rename popover bug To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1729264/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
