Ohh... I thought it was an alternative light weight compositing window
manager similar to compiz.  Or was that clutter?

I'm not sure why taking care of spawning Xwayland would be in the
compositing graphics library.

Will do.  Happens in a virtual machine so should be easy to reproduce.
