I would like to add that the bug occurs after swiping the notification screen up. The blank screen that usually shows with the password entry box shows but without anything on it and the applications bar on the left is still showing.
After applying the most recent update the bug seems to be happening less often, and only when the screen locks after not being used until it timed out.
