I open gnome-calculator in basic mode. Remember: I have locale LC_NUMERIC=it_IT.UTF-8 where decimal separator is comma.
I perform all following operations using the numeric keypad. i press the canc/dot key (bottom right) and then '5*7' in the entry box i see '.5x7' i hit enter in the history box i see '.5x7 = 3,5' so i entered dot and calculator interpreted the dot as comma - see my attachment in the entry box i try to enter '4.5' but i see only '4' the canc/dot key does nothing in other words the canc/dot key act as 'dot' only in 1st position. if i hit the num lock key the num-lock LED lights up and pressing the canc/dot key i see a comma. if i set locale LC_NUMERIC to US gnome calculator works fine -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-calculator in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1814454 Title: gnome-calculator incorrect use of dot/comma To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-calculator/+bug/1814454/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
