Actually that's a good point but I would go lower level than that...

In order to find out if the problem is coming from the hardware or the
kernel please:

0. Open a Terminal window.

1. Run: sudo apt install evtest

2. Run: sudo evtest | tee evtest.txt

3. Select the mouse and leave it running (text will scroll as you move
the mouse).

4. DON'T use the real right click at all from now on...

5. Wait till the bug happens and then Ctrl+C in the Terminal window.

6. Attach the file 'evtest.txt' here.
