Thank you for your bug report, could you install 'pavucontrol' and check what 
device is listed there?
Could you also add your journalctl log from the session which had the issue?
Was it a one time problem or can you trigger it again with the same steps?

   No audio devices appear except "Dummy Output" when I close my laptop
