Thank you for your bug report, it sounds similar to https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-calendar/-/issues/567 which should be fixed in the current serie, upstream mentioned that the code in 3.36 was different though so unsure how practical it would be to backport a fix to that serie
