Bug 1933633 is a clean exit whereas this bug 1960336 is a segfault. So the two bugs should be kept separate.

Next please follow the steps in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Responses#Missing_a_crash_report_or_having_a_.crash_attachment to look for the fprintd crash. ** Changed in: gdm3 (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New ** Also affects: fprintd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - No login screen when fprintd is installed and not starting + No login screen when fprintd crashes ** Changed in: fprintd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: fprintd (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: gdm3 (Ubuntu) Importance: High => Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1960336 Title: No login screen when fprintd crashes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fprintd/+bug/1960336/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
