Public bug reported: With GTK 3.24.35, when running under Wayland, it's not possible to copy and paste from Geany. (Others report the same issue with SciTE, which also uses the Scintilla editor.)
The Geany upsteam bug isolated the issue to a GTK change (https://github.com/geany/geany/issues/3345#issuecomment-1360370992). The GTK bug (https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/-/issues/5397) was resolved (https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/-/commit/eca445672a48ac4a870790efa63339f8d974c2fd) and the fix is in GTK 3.24.36. I installed the libgtk-3-0_3.24.36-1_amd64.deb and libgtk-3-common_3.24.36-1_all.deb packages from Debian on a Lunar test system and this did resolve the issue.
