Public bug reported: Got a document to sign via DocuSign. Signed it, followed the "view completed document" link provided by DocuSign, downloaded the "combined" document.
Observed behaviour: Firefox opens the PDF without issue, evince fails. Expected behaviour: evince opens the document without an error, just like Firefox. Don't know how repeatable this is, can't attach the document because of its contents, can't generate a new one. I hope an example of a DocuSign- ed document can be found on-line to help reproduce the issue. Workarounds: use another PDF viewer ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.04 Package: evince 3.28.4-0ubuntu1.2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.4.0-136.153~18.04.1-generic 5.4.218 Uname: Linux 5.4.0-136-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.9-0ubuntu7.28 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Mon Jan 23 15:03:03 2023 DistributionChannelDescriptor: # This is a distribution channel descriptor # For more information see http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DistributionChannelDescriptor canonical-oem-somerville-xenial-amd64-20160624-2 InstallationDate: Installed on 2018-05-10 (1719 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 16.04 "Xenial" - Build amd64 LIVE Binary 20160624-10:47 SourcePackage: evince UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to bionic on 2020-03-04 (1055 days ago) ** Affects: evince (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug bionic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2003715 Title: "Unable to open document", "PDF document is damaged" when opening a DocuSigned document To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/2003715/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
