Public bug reported: In my 23.04 development installation I installed the ubuntu-unity- desktop package and then logged in to Unity. One observation is that the input source indicator is not shown in the top bar, even if that feature is enabled in Text Entry. Please see the attached screenshot.
I can successfully switch between the input sources in the list using Super+Space. First I suspected that this ibus patch has something to do with it: https://salsa.debian.org/debian/ibus/-/blob/master/debian/patches/ubuntu- forward-panel-properties.patch It's there for Unity only. But since the issue is present also with ibus disabled, that does not appear to be the case. ** Affects: indicator-keyboard (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ubuntu-unity-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: lunar ** Attachment added: "no-input-source-indicator.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2015610/+attachment/5662071/+files/no-input-source-indicator.png ** Also affects: ubuntu-unity-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to indicator-keyboard in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2015610 Title: Input source indicator not shown To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-keyboard/+bug/2015610/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
