Further to your comment #2 I'm moving this to the gnome-shell package which will bring this issue to the attention of the Desktop Team. Please execute the following command only once, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal: apport-collect 2000743 However, if this issue has since resolved itself then please let us know. When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu- bug' and the name of the package affected.
