"This is ok for Ubuntu" This is no OK for Ubuntu and is perceived as a regression for users (like myself and many others) that use gnome-software as a one stop shop for managing installation and updates of debs, snaps, and flatpaks. With this patch added now we have to use a separate software to update debs and this is not communicated to the users.
