Use synaptic and search on "update-manager". I found three packages including update-manager requiring an upgrade from 1:22.04.10 to 1:22.04.17. I marked the 3 packages for upgrade and applied changes. I then opened Gnome Software again and refreshed updates. The problem was fixed.
