You have been subscribed to a public bug: Hi everyone, I want to highlight a problem I've been encountering for a few months. I'm running the latest 24.04 LTS version with Wayland as a windowing system. My current setup is to use the laptop display with a second monitor attached.
Sometimes (thus, I'm not able to reproduce this issue), let's say once a week, the non-primary monitor (thus, the laptop one) completely freezes. When it happens, I'm unable to enter this monitor with the cursor, plus I'm unable to use the apps on it. Moreover, other parts of the system seem to become unresponsive, such as the menu in the top-right part of the display. When this happens, the only solution that I've found is a hard reboot. Note: I'm unable to reproduce this "crash". However, I found that it happens more frequently when I'm creating new windows and bringing them to the second monitor.
