I'm still not seeing any other crash reports like this. These log messages might be related to the issue:
Window manager warning: Impossible to resize screen at size 3840x2160, error id 8: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) Window manager warning: Impossible to resize screen at size 7680x2160, error id 8: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) and they seem to originate from an Ubuntu patch 'x11-Add-support-for- fractional-scaling-using-Randr.patch'. But since you're apparently not using scaling on any displays, there's nothing I can suggest turning off there... Looking at monitors.xml.txt shows some things that might need fixing though: 1. The HDMI connected monitor is sometimes detected at 50Hz instead of 60Hz. If you didn't do this on purpose then it suggests you need a higher grade HDMI cable for more reliable behaviour. 2. There is an old "Unknown" monitor config. That was likely from bug 2060268. My suggestions: 1. Delete ~/.config/monitors.xml and log in again. Then reconfigure your displays. 2. If the problem still isn't fixed then upgrade the HDMI cable and repeat step 1. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2081199 Title: [nvidia] On high resolution modes, after screen resume from power saving, the display configuration gets lost, and sometimes Gnome crashes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2081199/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
