I still can't reproduce the issue locally even with questing-proposed and ALL proposed packages installed.
Reviewing the full log of one of the failures: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome- shell/48.0-1ubuntu2/+build/30740335 I can see that Mutter's setup scripts believe they have launched pipewire successfully on socket $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR/pipewire-0 and indeed there is a server running on *some* socket. But it's that pipewire server stuck in a loop with accept4 failures of some sort. Instead of giving up and just disabling all affected test suites in mutter/gnome-shell, I would like to know if we can fix pipewire. Ours is very out of date and missing changes such as: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/commit/62035963a3b74ac106805b4d3ff041c04e7fdbc2 which might be relevant. Is there any chance that bug 2112056 could be done first? That might just solve it. ** Also affects: pipewire (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: pipewire (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Critical ** Changed in: pipewire (Ubuntu) Milestone: None => ubuntu-25.10 ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Summary changed: - mutter & gnome-shell: FTBFS with coreutils-from + mutter & gnome-shell: FTBFS with coreutils-from: pipewire stuck in an accept4 loop -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2112491 Title: mutter & gnome-shell: FTBFS with coreutils-from: pipewire stuck in an accept4 loop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/coreutils-from/+bug/2112491/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
