I think that's enough information. Although I do wonder if you needed
the tiling-assistant extension then would disabling other extensions
make it more reliable? You can test that by deleting all local
extensions:

  cd ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/
  rm -rf extensions

and then logging in again.
