Public bug reported:

After upgrade to 26.04.1 (developer) gnome-disk-utility shows "SMART not
supported" for all 5 drives in system. SMART data, Drive Settings,
Standby and Power Off menus are also greyed out.

All drives are SATA, connected directly to MB: 1 SSD, 4 spinning drives.

Other drive info does appear in gnome-disk-utility.

Smartmontools is installed and SMART info does show in terminal via
smtctl.

No issues w/ previous versions of Ubuntu.

1) Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS
2) 46.1-2ubuntu2
3) Expected "Assessment" to show "Disk is OK" report any bad sectors and report
disk temperature. Also expected active SMART and other menus.
4) Instead "Assessment" shows "SMART not supported" and SMART data, Drive
Settings, Standby and Power Off menus are greyed out.
