Sorry my previous comment was wrong and therefore confusing. I wanted to import my Calendar from Outlook and that is imported to Contacts in Evolution. The upstream comment about vcf seems irrelevant since vcf is a contact format isn't it? I don't know ics. Anyhow I still think this is a bug (even if its a minor one) since Evolution import procedure asks you if this the file is an Evolution .csv or an Outlook .csv file so the developer clearly expected a .csv file. How the choice is made of where to put it I don't know (although I'll check when I've rebooted to Ubuntu) but presumably there's some header information in the file. More news in the next post.
