Public bug reported: Binary package hint: sound-juicer
When I try to use sound-juicer to rip a CD (or use CTRL-R to re-read the disc) it says: ** (sound-juicer:22837): WARNING **: Error getting media type and no tracks show up in the track list. When I look in Edit->Preferences it does see my CD-ROM drive and cdparanoia is perfectly happy to rip tracks from it: $ cdparanoia -B cdparanoia III release 10pre0 (August 29, 2006) (C) 2006 Monty <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and Xiph.Org FreeBSD porting (c) 2003 Simon 'corecode' Schubert <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Report bugs to [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.xiph.org/paranoia/ Ripping from sector 0 (track 1 [0:00.00]) to sector 242278 (track 13 [3:50.20]) outputting to track01.cdda.wav (== PROGRESS == [ | 017182 00 ] == :^D * ==) outputting to track02.cdda.wav (== PROGRESS == [ | 034392 00 ] == :^D * ==) outputting to track03.cdda.wav (== PROGRESS == [ | 051420 00 ] == :^D * ==) outputting to track04.cdda.wav (== PROGRESS == [ > | 061575 00 ] == :-) o ==) Any ideas? ** Affects: sound-juicer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- sound-juicer does not read my CD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116880 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for sound-juicer in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
