However, ibus-table's lacking of setup UI and broken default is not GNOME's fault.
Some developers and I have been working to make ibus-table's default behavior more acceptable. Now it is just one rebuild away to from the resolution of Chinese mode and candidate number issue. Other fixings are also under development. Yes, we lost familiar language panel and there is no menu shown below the language icon. This maybe the real bug here. Not sure who's problem yet since even IBus main author's ibus-pinyin lost its menu too. Anyway, you can still use un-disable-able magic shortcut Ctrl+; to change Chinese mode.
