Hmmm... I just upgraded to snv_98 and discovered firefox 3.0.1
is the browser. OK, but it does seem to have some problems:
1: The bookmarks tool bar and pull-down menu is empty,
even though with strings(1), I can see what looks like
all my old bookmarks in the $profile/places.sqlite file.
This happens even if I delete places.sqlite (etc) and restart,
as was suggested on MozillaZine and elsewhere.
2: Import bookmarks from html does nothing.
3: Import from mozilla 1.x produces an "importing"
dialog box that apparently makes no progress.
So I'd agree, Firefox 3 looks like it may be not quite up to
expectations yet.
