The fine folks of the OpenSolaris Wine Community ( http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/desktop/communities/wine/People/ ) would like to publish their Wine builds to an IPS repository. At the moment I can think of only a few possibilities:
1 - Get Wine into pkg.opensolaris.org 2 - Wait for Sun to set up 'contrib' on pkg.opensolaris.org 3 - Push the package into Blastwave's IPS ( http://blastwave.network.com:10000/ ) 4 - Push the package to Sun Freeware ( http://pkg.sunfreeware.com:9000/ ) Having no experience with any of these systems and not being the actual person who would be publishing the packages I would like to get the opinion of the broader desktop community about how we can go about this. What are the levels of governance around the different repo's? Which is the most trusted source of packages? Anything else?
