Kind of followup on my own msg: I installed the packages and ignored the
attribute changes. That seemed safe enough. Wwindowmaker works fine, but I
stopped using it again already, because of those AWFUL screen msgs about
"English/Western Europe" underneath each screen. I thought only CDE
suffered from this ugly behaviour that can't be switched off. Never saw it
in Blastwave's KDE i.e. I wonder why it is needed to have this in
windowmaker. Can't this be compiled out somehow?

I know I can login with a C locale in JDS, but the side effects for
working in xterms are not always desirable. Mutt i.e. does not display my
msgs OK after this C locale change.

So, is this nagging warning / msg still needed?
Will it ever be removed or can it already be?
