Kind of followup on my own msg: I installed the packages and ignored the attribute changes. That seemed safe enough. Wwindowmaker works fine, but I stopped using it again already, because of those AWFUL screen msgs about "English/Western Europe" underneath each screen. I thought only CDE suffered from this ugly behaviour that can't be switched off. Never saw it in Blastwave's KDE i.e. I wonder why it is needed to have this in windowmaker. Can't this be compiled out somehow?
I know I can login with a C locale in JDS, but the side effects for working in xterms are not always desirable. Mutt i.e. does not display my msgs OK after this C locale change. So, is this nagging warning / msg still needed? Will it ever be removed or can it already be? -- Dick Hoogendijk -- PGP/GnuPG key: F86289CE ++ http://lossehandjes.nl/ | Solaris 10 / Nevada
