Hi G?rard,

I guess you are activating EMEA keyboard layout emulation mode which is
supported by IIIMF (Input Method framework). For example, if French KB
emulation is activated, you will see "French [Fr]" at iiim-panel on gnome
panel. If the emulation is deactivated, you will see "[Fr]".
You can activate/deactivate the IM mode by Ctrl+space.

Well, even if you were in the EMEA keyboard layout emulation mode, you
should not see such problem. However the problem happens due to the
following IIIMF regression bug.

6639480: some ASCII keys (ex: single quate) become dead keys unexpectedly
in keyboard layout emulation

This bug was introduced in snv_68 (SXDE 9/07) and fixed in snv_79a
(SXDE 1/08). SXDE 1/08 is planned to release on Jan 22.

This bug doesn't exist in S10U4 official build, but if you applied
IIIMF patch 120410-23(sparc)/120411-23(i386) or later on your system,
you will see the bug. The fix has been incorporated in the patch -26
and will officially be released in a few days.

Thanks,
Fuyuki
