Hi Ken: Thanks for the reply.

The braille monitor is for debugging/demo purposes only, so it's not really high on the end user feature list. But, yes, there was a bug where a tester was repeatedly enabling and disabling this demo/debug feature and saw a failure. We resolved that, though I'd much rather see testers testing things of higher importance to end users. ;-) I'm not sure what bug you're referring to with the speech preferences. > Just reviewing braille->speech->braille conversions. I'm not sure what you mean by this -- going from braille to speech output and back to braille is definitely not a feature I've seen requested. In any case, we would definitely welcome you (or whoever is doing the testing and bug review) on the orca-list as a means to help communicate more directly with users and the team. Having said that, like any project, Orca is definitely not without bugs. In addition, it is in a very precarious situation since it has dependencies on almost every desktop component. We track all bugs, including feature enhancement requests and bugs that are not in Orca proper, in the Orca bugzilla database. Our philosophy on bugs is here: http://live.gnome.org/Orca/Bugs. So, perhaps we should take the rest of this off line and we can communicate more about your concerns. Thanks again, Will
