The short answer is 88. The long answer is this: JDS has a stable branch that is based on the latest stable GNOME release and is integrated into Nevada (bugster: snv_xx) This is also called Vermillion Stable or simply nevada. There is also a development branch (which is the trunk) that is based on the latest GNOME development tarballs (odd minor version numbers). The development builds are not integrated anywhere until the end of the 6-monthly GNOME development cycle, at which point it becomes the stable branch. These builds are called Vermillion Devel (bugster: vermillion_xx) Most bugs are only fixed in this branch, only the most serious ones are fixed in both stable and devel. So, currently Vermillion Stable (nevada_xx or snv_xx) is GNOME 2.20.y and Vermillion Devel is GNOME 2.21.z. According to the current schedule, GNOME 2.22 is due March 12, at which point the GNOME 2.20 builds are no longer delivered anywhere and Vermillion Devel becomes Vermillion Stable and gets integrated into snv_88 and later. When the GNOME 2.23 development begins, we create a GNOME 2.22 branch the whole cycle starts again. (I should put this somewhere in the JDS project pages.) Laca
