No, it isn't. pkgtool "goes through the spec files" ... "and handles it for you" The order on the command line doesn't count.
If it fails, then spec files don't specify the full set of required packages. starting with pkgtool version 1.3.x, you may specify the top spec-file and with --auto-deps the missing prerequisite packages get auto-selected and again sorted to have the correct build-order Thomas On Mon, Apr 07, 2008 at 04:00:27PM +0800, Jeff Cai wrote: > Is it really true? > When I build SUNWevolution.spec, SUNWevolution-data-server.spec and > SUNWevolution-libs.spec, pkgtool can not set the correct order for me. > > Jeff > > On Thu, 2008-04-03 at 09:17 +0530, S h i v wrote: > > In the example above, you may specify it as: > > > > pkgtool --download build-install B.spec C.spec D.spec OR > > pkgtool --download build-install C.spec D.spec B.spec OR > > ....any other order > > pkgtool goes through the spec files, identifies what should be the > > order and handles it for you. > > > > _______________________________________________ > desktop-discuss mailing list > desktop-discuss at opensolaris.org > -- Mit freundlichen Gruessen, Thomas Wagner -- Bitte registrieren Sie Ihre Systeme: https://sunconnection.sun.com/inventory/ Es lohnt sich, denn wir bauen unsere Services fuer Sie aus!
