That seems to have helped...  I removed the
build 85 SUNWgamin package and installed 
the one from vermillion 87; there have been no more
gam_server crashes in the last two days...



And there have been no more gnome-panel or
nautilus crashes in the last couple of days; I'm not 
sure if that is the result of 
- removing the dwarf debug symbols from libX11.so
- upgrading the SUNWgamin package / gam_server
- running nautilus with libumem.so.1 preloaded
