On the RC1 image I just installed, the preferences show the defaults are
"Times", "Helvetica", and "Courier", which leads to the default text being
non-anti-aliased - like you, I thought the firefox team was fixing that.
The default fonts in GNOME apps/fontconfig are the Deja Vu ones.
