So in preparing a status report for my bosses bosses boss [1], I figured
that there was probably nothing in it that couldn't be sent here - I
might even archive it on the web for posterity :)
May not be of any real interest to anyone on the list, so let me know if
you heavily object to this kind of stuff being posted.

Accomplishments
===============
Technical
o Stephen and Glynn went the list of outstanding patches to JDS
that haven't yet been ported across to GNOME 2.10, and
identified a suitable action for them [in most cases, delete]
o Laca branched CVS for JDS Linux release 3
o Laca merged HEAD with the GNOME 2.10 branch, and branched again for
GNOME 2.12 development
o Glynn worked on a new development model for working more closely with
community upstream. Meeting to take place between all JDS
engineers, QA and project management next week to discuss this
proposal
o Brian continuing to investigate ARC role for JDS on opensolaris.org
o Glynn worked on a new bug category and tracking proposal for JDS
on opensolaris.org. This will be a part of next weeks meeting.
o Glynn worked on a proposal for JDS SCM for opensolaris.org, currently
waiting for review by opensolaris.org folks
o Laca spent more time on the build tools for JDS, and getting them
ready for the opensolaris.org release
o Laca and Glynn worked on cleaning up the existing CVS, removing
some of the Linux'isms in preparation for release onto
opensolaris.org
o Laca and Glynn involved in some discussion about package repositories
and the long term plan for the companion CD
o Wipro dudes continuing to report and fix a whole heap of major issues
for GNOME 2.10 before release
Project Management
o Glynn continue working with Dee on some of the due diligence task as
listed
in the 'OpenSolaris Instructions for Consolidations' document
Social
o All continue to monitor and contribute to threads on desktop-discuss,
opensolaris-discuss, and others
Goals for next week

o Work on providing a formal schedule for OpenSolaris JDS tasks

o Meet to discuss new proposed development model
o Continue to discuss the JDS SCM Proposal

o Continue analysis of existing patches to GNOME 2.10 and see what
we can do about reducing these
o Write up HOWTO documents for building JDS on opensolaris.org
o Provide some more content for the JDS community website
o Investigate the role of ARC on opensolaris.org
o Continue to report and fix major issues on GNOME 2.10 branch
