Yes, codeina is the program that helps people to download and install
Fluendo plugins. Users can run it directly and pick which plugins to
install. Or, if a user tries to play a media file with any
GStreamer-enabled program which can not be played, then codeina is
launched and it checks if Fluendo has a plugin to play this format. If
so, a dialog is launched and the user stepped through the process of
downloading and installing the plugin. If the user does this, the media
file the user initially wanted to play is started at this point.

The codeina application was added to Nevada in build 107 after we got
marketing approval from Chris Baker. There were some bugs with codeina
that were not fixed until build 108, so I would recommend testing with
build 108 or later.

The ARC case # was LSARC 2008/709. OSR is #10184. I was the engineer
who handled integration of this module into Solaris, so if you have any
questions or need any information, let me know and I will be happy to
help provide any information you need.
