Hi William,

This is a known issue of cairo library.

You can disable "Allow pages to choose their own fonts" in Firefox and
select a true type font instead bitmap font.

Or you can add a file in your home directory.
$cat ~/.fonts.conf
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE fontconfig SYSTEM "fonts.dtd">
<!-- ~/.fonts.conf file to configure system font access -->
<fontconfig>
   <!-- Reject bitmap fonts in favour of Truetype, Postscript, etc. -->
   <selectfont>
       <rejectfont>
           <pattern>
               <patelt name="scalable"><bool>false</bool></patelt>
           </pattern>
       </rejectfont>
   </selectfont>
</fontconfig>

Thanks,

Ginn
