Yes and No. OpenSolaris (and Solaris) is automatically both 32-bit and 64-bit. If for some reason you want to force it to use 32-bit mode on 64-bit hardware, then it is possible to force it to boot into 32-bit mode, but this is not recommended. 64-bit Solaris runs 32-bit software perfectly alongside 64-bit software. > > > 8. what is the stable version of opensolaris that can be installed on 32 > bit. > There is no stable version of OpenSolaris yet.
